[TCUG] Re: Remote Monitoring at TfL

As I recall, apart from Nottingham, all authorities outside London, were
supplied with a Ferranti OMU that was equivalent to the Dorset system and
this included the Ferranti instation.

The London outstation were based on the same OMU hardware but software was
very different in terms of functionality, diagnostics and communications
protocol. Also, the instation was developed to the London specification by
Serco.

Therefore I suggest that we attribute the SEPIA colour to the authorities
who settled for the non-London systems.

As the first (sorry Jag) user of the Ferranti system 'SEPIA' would be fine
but what has it got to do with the Cuttlefish?
