I would agree--paying people is not optimal, I was just responding to the thead.

It would seem that most people want to leave things as they are, and I bow to
the majority.

Who said anything about paying people to help? (Although with $7,000 in the TCC
bank that is not such a bad idea). My point was to charge a higher launch fee
for those who choose not to help either set up or take down.

My good friend Richard's view of the natural tendency of people to volunteer is
not as optimistic as mine.

Well, we HAD been doing pretty well until this past year.....
We don't need to beat ourselves up, nor make excuses. Everyone has helped more
than their fair share at one point or another.....
I will state again that NO money other than the $20 allowed for the individual
that hauls the trailer should be paid out. Otherwise I think it opens up new
problem areas.
Like Jack said, it's a volunteer organization. So, not everything works
perfectly. You know who works the hardest? That little Powell kid! The rest
of us just need to suck it up. (And sign up on the trailer schedule).

I would have stayed and help, but with my back getting worse, I wouldn't be of
much help.

Lunar has a raffle drawing for those who help clean up and pack their trailer,
and seems to get alot of help that way.

I also want to thank Jimmy, Rob and Jim Norton everyone left and left those 3
guys to put all the equipment away, so next month we have to come up with a
plan so more people have to stay and help put things away and set up.

FYI the equipment trailer is back at it’s home.
I also recharged all the relay batteries so we should be good for a couple of
months.
