Hi Sammie,
I wish I could have helped and would have been happy to supply you one for
less. Congratulations on finding one, and feel free to add me to your search
list. I have a ton of '67 and earlier parts and am willing to be more than
fare with TCBers.
Peter

Boy, you guys are really great when someone asks for help. Thanks for all
the responses on the cargo door latch. Found one so everyone can stop
looking. When looking for a part like this I usually call Wolfsburg West
first, they didn't have one; then Vintage VW, then BFY. Vintage wasn't
answering the phone and BFY didn't have one. Also, Gary Constantine in
Mass or somewhere up there in the northeast is pretty good. And, of
course, there is always the Samba. There was one on the Samba recently for
$100 (ridiculous) and then one yesterday for $75 with a rear latch thrown
in. Guess what: Vintage had one for $30. Tells you something about some
sellers on the Samba.
Sammie
