Well, I don't know why he wants wheels for his porch, but we have lotsa people
in the piney woods who have wheels on their house.

Why do you want wheels for your porch?

OK, I will flag the 66-67 apron as sold.  67 splash pan is sold.  Quick way to
tell the difference in splash pans is that the early ones are completely flat
around the steering box hole.  Later ones have a raised area around the slot to
clear the later model steering box.  The 67 is identical to the late one except
it has a cutout to clear the DC master cylinder.

On the Ghias: the early Ghia (36 hp) has the same type aircleaner as the 36 hp
bus.  Later stale air has a similar one.  Not sure exactly when they changed to
the new funky style.

Here is an ad for one that is correct for the bastard engine era bus, and
probably the early stale air 40 horse Ghia.

And another that is correct for the 36 horse bus and 36 horse ghia

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1120569

They went through several versions of aircleaners with the one piece metal pipe
before introducing the later aircleaner that we see on the later split busses
from 63 to 67.  And one final note:  The 63 is a one year only aircleaner
because it hangs on the left side, not the right and it is hard to find a
correct one.  And if you want to know more there is a whole thread on the Samba
on split bus aircleaners.

I plan to be at Jack Wenks Black Gold Sunday Dec 4 for his swap and show (it's
on the Samba events list) and I have several items that I will be bringing to
the swap meet.  The list of items is attached to this e-mail in a word file.

Take a look and if you are interested in anything please let me know by Sunday
and I will hold it for you.  Or just show up Sunday and take a look.

Weather forecast for Sunday does not look good though.

Sammie
