What are you going to do with your property outside of Houston? Bob Perring <perring@xxxxxxx> wrote: I am so sorry that I have not taken a moment to tell a few tales of our trip. In a very abbreviated from, it was wonderful. Arkansas - Saw big huge black bear in our campsite. Illinois - Found a staving kitten in the wild, and adopted her. Indiana - Won the grand prize in the drawing at a ham radio get-together we attended. Now then for the updates. Yes, we are moving to Southern Illinois, in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest, near Southern Illinois University, and a hippy commune just down the road from us. We have 5 acres of wonderful fertile land with a mature garden, raspberry bush plot, blackberry bush plot, asparagus plot, and producing peach, pear, apple, cherry, walnut, and persimmon trees on the property. We have a back yard adjoining into a 3.5 acre lake, and it is all ours! You cannot imagine what wonderful country we are moving to. Maybe this will give some insights. http://www.thesouthern.com/in-house/sp_sections/012/index.php?i= We have been quite busy since we returned. We put our house up for sale. http://www.har.com/459325 ........... and - - - Now, we have an offer, which on first blush, appears to be very acceptable. Our completely new life's schedule has become for us to depart Houston around December 10, and start calling Southern Illinois our new home by December 15 Mary Beth and I just keep giggling and laughing. We had no plans for this at all. If you would like to see a few pictures of the new place, send me an e-mail and I can send a zipped file with 6-7 pictures to you. The file is 3,446 KB, so not too terribly bad. All VW busses are always welcome to visit, camp, fish, enjoy our produce. The home has a 3 bay pole barn, and is completely finished off for any and all VW work that might be needed. It is supplied with compressed air, 220 VAC, heating, concrete floor, cold beer. Bob
