paint Sparky in my garage. Mark's friend is busy getting caught up after the
rodeo and the two others I've spoken to want to strip Sparky back down to bare
metal and put their own primer and bondo on. I'm not about to spend $3,500 on a
paint job for a camper. I would be afraid to scratch it.
So I've been reading about what you need for a decent garage paint job.
a.. good compressor with water trap - check
b.. good HVLP gun - check-
c.. 4 ft. fluorescent light fixtures - about $10 x 4 at home depot
d.. fan with filter to circulate air - borrow from a friend that has painted in
his garage
e.. clean all the dust from my garage - after 3 months of sanding this might be
the biggest challenge
f.. about $500 worth of high build primer and paint
g.. good respirator & rubber gloves - check
h.. water to wet the floor to keep the dust down - check
i.. a little patience and luck - we'll see
j.. $2,960 left over - so I can live with a run or two!
