OK, I went ahead and re-registered them even though I'm not sure
everyone understands what's going on with the domain names.
I originally registered the names in 2008 with grand designs of a TCB
online photo album and event planning calendar.
http://tcb-web.org is all that ever came of that.
This email list is hosted on freelists.org and was originally set up by
Dan Martin who somehow snuck it in past their "computer and tech lists
only" rules (I tried for the Buskatiers list and they shot me down).
Dan left the list administrator position and I administer it now.
The domain registrations cost me a grand total of $32 for one more year.
This allows 12 months to discuss and see if someone wants to build a
real website for TCB stuff.
I would like to be reimbursed for this year because things are tight
and that's why I was just going to drop them. But PLEASE don't send me
piles of money. I'm not the "club representative" and keeping track of
$$ to redistribute to other activities is not something I want to do.
There are other club events that $$$ is collected for by the organizers
(like the $100 sponsorship for the Classic T Shirt that people pitch in
$10 or $20 for)
Of course if you're just in a good mood and want to pay for 10 years of
domain parking I'd not argue. LOL!
Anyone who wants to send money toward this speak up and I'll pmail you
my PayPal address so you can use the "friends and family" option to
avoid fees ... and so y'all will know how many are planning to pitch in
and can adjust your contribution accordingly.

Re-registering the domains would have to be done before 8pm *TODAY*.
Let me state again. They weren't actually being used for anything. The
TCB has this list which is ***NOT*** using one of those domains.
tcb-web.org had a link to the list for people to use to register and a
copy of an article Sammie wrote. That's all.
I don't have time to set up and maintain a "real TCB website" so
someone else would have to do that.
As noted below if we want to have another year to see if someone wants
to do something with them then I can re-register them and discussion
can ensue.
After CC processing fees I would need about $38 total to register them
for another 12 months.

like to keep up with the VW community and try to look at the list to

I'm going to let the tcb-web.(org, net, com) domain names expire
unless someone else wants to start paying for them and maybe do
something with them.
Sorry it's late notice but they expire on the 12th. My cost to renew
them is 8.89 (.com) 10.79 (.net) and 10.99 (.org) so just over $30
for all three. If people want to pitch in we can register them for
multiple years in case somebody wants to put something on them
later.
http://www.tcb-web.org is the only one that has anything on it right
now. I was going to redirect the other two to that one but never got
around to it.
