so, my drawing and painting teacher in college was cajun. his name was Ed Martin from St. Martinsville, LA. he showed us pics of the swimming hole he used to swim in. in the background of the pic you can see an alligator swimming around. he said oh, yea you had to watch out when you swam, cause alot of time you would feel them beneith you. the cool thing about Mr. Martin is he went to Florida State University and was roomates with Jim Morrison for a year. he also knew Ray Manzareck. he used to say that Jim Morrison had changed alot from the guy he knew. Cool teacher though. used to give me and my friend jason (white vanagon guy) a hard time because we had those crazy "hippy machines" he told us one time about all the pot he used to smoke in an old 60's model bus. used to ask us all the time if we had just come from the hippy mobile.

but back to the point he was cajun and had the greatest accent ever. that is one teacher i truely miss from college.

Thanks for taking care of Denis for us. We owe you bigtime. Just joking, he' s not really that bad. Glad ya'll had a great time. I knew ya'll would. I just love the way those cajun's talk. That's why Dan & I had such a wonderful time 2 or 3 yrs.ago when we attended. So who got me a souvenir at Vermillionville?
