Several years ago I purchased a motorcycle from a guy in Denver not
realizing how much the normal car haulers would charge to bring it to Houston.
Finally, I located a trucker that normally made a run through Denver and split
the
cost of the shipment with a friend of mine, that needed to haul a pallet load
of parts from his Denver company to his Houston company. It still cost me
$250.00 and that was over ten years ago. The bike arrived in good shape and I
was led to believe that what I paid was a bargain. I'm not sure the trucker
could have hauled a car on his flat bed.
