The Blue bus starts and runs the oil pressure and charge lights work. The seat
are pretty much intact, sliding windows latches work but the springs are
broken,The right wind window latch is missing, cracked windshield on the left
side.one tail light lens and both front turnsignals are missing. There is very
little panel perforation. The brakes have a hard but low pedal so that may not
be to bad.at least you can feel the brakes pull. The hand brake works.unless
there is something major wrong with the tranny I thuink about 8-10 hours of
hard labor the Bluebus might be driveable.I gotta find a horn tho.I might try
some of the light circuits tomorrow.I can do some of this stuff while I am
waiting for Rose parts.
Morgans point could be a good fall goal. We'll see.
The Xbox has enough parts in it to wire and start the engine it is complete
including all of the fasteners, hoses ,clips, spark plugs ,wires,
Transmission, starter andall of the engine tin.It was stored with some oil in it
a rag stuffed in the carb,It also has a oilbath air cleaner, fresh air hoses and
the smog control stuff.
The engine is not seized and spins freely I think I can probably start it.My
question is what procedure should I go through before starting it.I need your
ideas.
I have three egines that I would like to ID.Blue bus has an AJ ,The Xbox is
a AK the 74 bug is an AH with no numbers behind the AH.
Help! The 74 bug arrived at my place on the same day as Bluebus.I am now
officially VW poor.
I guess now I'll have to be nice to my brother inlaw.I do have a peanut crop
so he really is going to get peanuts. He's already got the firecrackers.
