I'm giving some programming classes at our local library. I'm videoing
them, and am selling the VideoCDs (Free as in speech, cheap as in beer).
More information about the classes can be seen at
http://www.aps-technology.net/community.php and
http://www.eskimo.com/~johnnyb/fer/classes.pdf
The class on Functional Programming is done, but not yet converted to
VideoCD. The class on XML did happen due to family issues.
Although they aren't exclusively about scheme, they emphasize it, using
scheme as the language to teach many of the concepts. The exception is
the first video, which is mostly C-oriented memory-management techniques.
Send me an email (johnnyb@xxxxxxxxxx) if you're interested.
For those of you interested in attacking programming from the bottom as
well, I'm writing a book called Programming from the Group Up
(http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/pgubook/) for an intro to programming
using assembly language. This is not complete, but I'm looking for
feedback on what is there right now.
