Are you referring to "Three Implementations Models for Scheme" at
http://www.cs.indiana.edu/~dyb/papers/3imp-abstract.html?
And the other reference--is it
"Essentials of Programming Languages" (2nd ed.) by Friedman, Wand, and Haynes?
(Both look like pretty advanced stuff.)
