Hi alex, does your phone have a memory card? with talks installed to it?, if so, try removing the memory card first, then restarting the phone.
reinsert the memory card once phone has restartedIf the phone restarts successfully, then you know that the problem is a talks installation issue on the memory card. If so, with sighted help, simply remove everything talks related, and then reinstalling it

Hi Eleanor, Thank you for your message, but we've tried taking the battery out of Carol's phone twice, leaving it for a few minutes each time, and then putting it back and switching the phone on. Every time we switch the phone back on, it freezes at the text welcome screen which appears after the Nokia tune has played. Carol thinks that somehow, after she'd uninstalled the US Samantha, she pressed an incorrect key at some point, and the phone may be trying to run UK eloquence and vocaliser Serena at the same time, thus resulting in the phone crashing when the speech loads. If anyone else has any Ideas which can help we'd appreciate it. Alexander Shannon
