Hi Barbara,

Yes, it is wrong. But how many times have Voda done that to people.

Elaine, you can use the 6220.

All the best

Steve

I'm sure that's wrong, but probably best to ring vodafone and check it out.

I went in to phones 4 you, I did have a look at the 6220, nice little neat
phone.

they told me that phone doesn't work on the vodafone network, does anyone
know about this?

I thought it was a sales pitch or something.

thanks

ah? it's not for making phone calls then? *grins*

talking books? Steve?

Wow am I not with these newer phones then...

in your own opinions, Steve, what's the best phone available now?

my contract runs out in Feb, and I want a new phone, fed up with this one.

Looking for some advice really.

I don't play music or books on my phone, so not worried about stuff like
that. just want a small net little phone, clearly defined buttons, nice
ringtones, (do you ever get nice ringtones?) good clear speaker for talks,
(even though now got Braille), would like gps, but not sure about using
that, as I've never had that feature before.

I currently have N73, and don't ever use half the features on it.

any ideas?

or am I a tuff customer. *smiles*

Thanks

Elaine

Hi Neil,

No, but I do use it for audio books, and N82 is way better than the N95 for
audio books.

All the best

I agree about the treble, but it's not the point to me, the real issue about
the speakers should be limited to that of Talks, as no-one seriously should
be using their phone as a music player in terms of loud speakers surely?

Yes in certain cases it proves useful, but in most cases you've got access
to a real music system.

Hi Neil,

I don't agree about the music, the N82 is slightly louder, and not quite so
tinny. The N95 has too much treble for me. They are both good phones
though and there is little in it. But the battery life on the N82 is far
better.

All the best

Barbra,

That does concern me slightly, I have owned both, the N82 too my hands
anyhow, feels more solid and robust.

The N95 also has the disadvantage of being a slide phone, thus more
susceptible to damage and wear and tare effects over time.

I agree though about the music through the loud speakers, but being blunt,
if you're buying a phone as a substitute for a HiFi or Stereo system there's
something wrong!

I have owned an N82, though not an N95 but I have had a play with one. I
think the N82 feels cheap and plasticy in comparison to the N95. And the
sound of music on the N95 was better.

Hi Susan

I used to be on the vip students list. N95 is excellent though others would
say the N82.

I have had about 4 n82s which have all failed. I wondered if by any chance
talks was known to be a problem with this phone or if ive just been unlucky.
The first few phones wouldnt send text messages now the latest replacement
wont forward a message.

Thanks

Linda
