And yeah, it has no screen either. What an excuse for a phone. And please no one comes back saying it's for the blind so we don't need a screen. That just like saying this shirt is ugly but never mind, you can wear it, you're blind and you can't see it anyway.

I'd pay the extra tenna to Steve or other vender and they'll just install Talks for me so the phone comes ready to use.

Cheers,
Amro

and yet I know of at least one person who has the Aosis or whatever it is
called and really likes it. In its favour is that it comes all ready to go.
It has a fairly easy to use number pad. You can't even put Talks on a phone
reliably without sighted help unles you are particularly good at remembering
sequences of button presses etc.

In my opinion however, those benefits are outweighed by the fact that you
can't send a text over 160 characters long, as far as I know you cannot back
up contacts to a PC or similar device and I don't know if others can send
you business cards. The phone is also very expensive. At least Talks is
being developed actively.

Graham .

Oh you mean that stupid excuse for a mobile phone, that is so
rediculously expensive, so revolutionary that you can't even text
properly on it? I looked at one and all I wanted to do when I saw it was
to put my foot through it. What a peace of junk of I ever did see one!

What are they doing is what I want to know. If you want to speak to
Hi-Tech and have a demonstration of something that has to be on a
Thursday

here in London. What are they doing the other 4 days because they
they
do

not always return my calls or if I ask them to e-mail me they do not.

I think they just sit in an office!!!!

I should get used to them being around though.

They are taking over everything it seems.

Still, another list another discussion I guess!

Neil
Thank you for that. I am a bit fed up at present, want to buy the
Wayfinder, got one price from RNIB, another at Sight Village from
the

Company and another from Computer Room Services. Now I am not
complaining about any of these Agents for the product but the
cheapest
price came at Sight Village here in London and they did not say it
was
for the day only. I thought I had time to go away and think about
it.

Now I am not going to purchase it.

In fact it was only when I asked Steve or someone on the Access
list a question about upgrading Talks that a person at RNIB who had

told me
I
could not upgrade then said it was news to her that I could upgrade
from
Vodafone Talks to Premium Talks on another phone for £50.00. That
from
RNIB Hi-Tech!

Eleanor,

That's correct, whilst Talks continues to work, minus the ability
to move the license again, WFA can only function on one handset at
a time.

But they don't charge to move from phone to phone.

No deactivation of Talks there Scot from what Steve said. He
explained that

very well about upgrading from phone A to B and B to C. Have a
look at his
reply there again. Steve has told me though that Wayfinder would
deactivate

from one phone to another if put on a second phone.

Hi Scott,

As many times as you like, but you can only use one phone per
upgrade. In
other words, you buy Phone A, you then use Phone A to upgrade to
Phone
B.
You can still use Phone B to upgrade to Phone C, but you can't use
Phone

A
to upgrade to Phone C. So in other words, if you sell on Phone A,

the new
customer can't use it for an upgrade, if you have done so.

All the best

Steve

Hi folks. How many times can talks be moved from one phone to
another?

I know it's £50 to move it over from one to another, but how many
times can I?

 Thanks Scott.
