This will reset all settings to their factory defaults, as well as delete everything.

Hi.

Are you sure this completely formats the phone? I thought that command only reset phone settings like call logs and profile configurations. Does it also wipe all your settings for example MMS/GPRS?

Thanks, Ibrahim

To format the actual phone, press the following. This works on Nokia phones.

*#7370#

This will delete everything that was ever put on the phone by you, so make tripple sure to back it up.

You'll need sighted assistance to turn on bluetooth to get talks up and running. You should be able to memorise how to do it in the future. You'll need to turn talks off to let the memory card format completely. I would recommend formatting it before the phone.

Hello Ibrahim,

Notice the change of subject line. this is usually found in Extras/Memory Card. Select this and you will be told its name, capacity, how much memory has been used and how much is left. Now select options and you will be presented with the following list:

Backup phone memory
Restore from card
format Memory card
Memory card name
Set password
Memory details (selecting this option will bring up the list of files just like Windows Explorer)
Help
Exit

It is a good idea to format a new card before backing up the phone memory and installing software, such as Talks. Depending on the capacity of the card, this may take some time. You will need sighted help as of course there will be no verbal feedback of formatting. If you are formatting a card with software installed, then it would be wise to make backups and make note of serial numbers, particularly for Talks.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Clive Pallett
