Yes, you need multimedia enabled if you want to use audio messages, since
that's what they are, multimedia messages.

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can give me some advice.
As some of you will be aware, my wife Carol already has an N82 as she
purchased it with the KNFB reader installed. Having been present when Carol
was given a demonstration of the phone, and having also seen the phone when
Carol received it, I thought of getting myself an N82 and selling off my
6680.
When carol was looking for an option within Messaging on her N82 earlier
today she found that as well as the three options I have on my 6680 there is
also an option for audio messages. My question is, can this option be
enabled on a phone that is running Talks, and if so, do multimedia messages
have to be enabled for the sending and receiving of audio messages to work?
