Hi all,

if you own, or are about to buy, a D-link router, you should be aware of
their new policy in design of the web interface for configuring it. this is
true also for upgrades to the firmware which you may download from the

D-link is now adding a CAPTCHA screen to the login page of the web
configuration tool for their routers. this means a blind person can no
longer successfully configure one of their products without sighted help.
(No, you cannot use any of the schemes for getting around this, because they
all make use of internet connectivity).

If you can find the right screen once you get in, this can be turned off,
but I for one am going to write to D-link to ask them to make this off by
default, or add an audio option.
