Hi all,

for window eyes users, there is a script available which will provide
you with a "reply to sender" capability from within outlook, making it
quite easy to answer a specific individual on a group mailing list.
once you download and install the "reply to sender" script, you need
only press alt-shift-R to start a reply addressed to the original sender
of the message and not the the list.

if you can't use this, then you'll need to follow these steps:

* when reading the message, go up to the "from" field, and press control
A and then control C to copy the "from" information into the clipboard
* press control R, or whatever you usually press, to start a reply
* go up to the "to" field and press control A and then control V. this
selects what was in the "to" field, and replaces it with what you have
in the clipboard.
* now, press the "home" key to go to the beginning of the "to" field,
and keep pressing the delete key to remove some of the extra list info.
keep deleting until what you have left is the person's email address,
and no mention of TABI.
* now you're ready to go down to the message body, type your reply, and
send it as normal.

thanks.

Chip

        Hi Denyece,

I think this is a reasonable request everyone. it is really
difficult to try and read messages and figure out what they pertain to,
if they're a response to a conversation that's a month old. Of course
we'll make exceptions for situations where new information has just
become available.

So, how about sending your replies, when you feel like replying
to a month old message, directly to the person who posted it and not to
the list?

thanks everyone for being considerate of everyone!

        Chip

Chip,is there any way we can have members of the list
not play catch up after they have read every post? For one, it floods
the list, and sometimes the conversation is already over with. My
suggestion is that we all be mindful, and watch the subject line, and if
that conversation is long gone do not post.
                Thanks.
