Yes there are minutes to the last T A C meeting on Monday, June 6, 2016. The
minutes are bing typed up if not done already. I will certainly forward the
file to the list when I get a copy, hopefully later on.
You might what to contact Bryan Waterman at Star Metro. The local chapter of A
C B may be kind enough to share their minutes from last night if they feel it
would be relevant to the discussion.

The good part of the proposed changes is that StarMetro has basically conceded
that it was wrong about the whole Nova2010 bus route decentralization that was
forced upon us a few years ago. Make no mistake, however; the changes being
propsed are a service cut. The Budget Hawks are squawking. One of them, a
gentleman named Russell Price, made a comment on the StarMetro story in today's
paper in which he complimented StarMetro director Terry Lowe and his staff for
their good work trying to reduce costs and make routes more 'efficient.' The
Budget Hawks like to complain about 'empty buses' running around town but you
can bet they don't ever ride the bus. As a member of the TAC I would encourage
everyone to attend the meetings that will be scheduled and ask if the amount of
bus service you are getting now will be reduced under the proposed changes.

If you have lived in Tally town long enough, you will know August is hot and
the city bus system cranks out their latest changes in the fixed bus routes.
The changes will take place August 13, 2016.
If you are a proponent of the centralized route system where buses came to the
plaza this email may put a smile back on your face. All routes except one will
be going back to the plaza. I am not sure what that one bus is. Sorry.
Star Metro is emphasizing put on connectivity at the bus plaza. The weekday
and Saturday routes will run 60, 45 or 30 minute schedule. This was done to
improve connectivity at the plaza. (buses will meet at the plaza 30 minutes
after the hour) With buses running pretty much at the same time the Waite time
at the various transfer points around the city.
There will be meetings scheduled during July to get rider input. when I find
out this bit of info I will pass it on to the list. I am not able to get into
each individual bus route. The majority will stay the same . The Saturday
schedule will look like the Monday Friday schedule.
If you where at last nights Transportation advisory meeting please fill free to
share your thoughts. You may have heard something different than I did.
