Hi all, I recently received the letter below from our church. I'm publishing it here because it's from a member of the board of TEAM, and they're looking to decide which community causes they will support in the upcoming year. transportation has been one that they have supported strongly in the past, so if anyone would like, you could attend the upcoming meeting and make a plea that the special transportation needs of the disabled be one of TEAM's priorities. If you did this I'd think you'd have a very strong ally in the cause of transportation equality. Chip ---------- From: wl_moore@xxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, November 04, 2009 10:58 AM Subject: A message from Walter Moore about TEAM To members and friends of First Presbyterian Church. This is to follow up on what Brant said about TEAM in this week's newsletter. I am writing as a representative of our congregation on TEAM's board of directors. Brant reminded us that TEAM's Community Problems Assembly will take place next Monday, November 9, at New Mount Zion AME Church, 1401 Old Bainbridge Road. The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. and should be over by 8:30. This is the meeting at which we will select the community problems that TEAM will address in the coming year. The Community Problems Assembly is one of only three large meetings that we are urged to attend each year. Our church has been asked to send a delegation of 25-30 people. My first reason for writing is just to add my invitation to Brant's. I hope you will attend. Bring your friends. There is a second reason for this message. I need to have an idea in advance about the size of our delegation. If you do plan to attend, please let me know ( wl_moore@xxxxxxxxxxx ). TEAM is growing steadily, both in numbers and in effectiveness. Our church has supported the organization from its beginnings. We can continue to show our support by bringing a large delegation to next Monday's Assembly.
