Yes, that is true here in Florida. But how are they defining groceries? As
food items only or is that including washing powders, and other non food
items?

Yes, waiting is now the only answer, unless someone finds documentation
which fully explains the exact workings of this program.

btw, groceries are not subject to sales tax; but that's just an observation,
not a comment on the primary discussion.
