-Your friends at Lighthouse of the Big Bend
Good afternoon everyone,
In response to Tropical Storm Hermine in the Gulf of Mexico, the Governor
has declared a State of Emergency for the following counties:
Alachua, Baker, Bay, Bradford, Brevard, Calhoun, Citrus, Clay, Columbia,
Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Franklin, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Gulf, Hamilton,
Hernando, Hillsborough, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Leon, Levy,
Liberty, Madison, Marion, Nassau, Orange, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam,
Seminole, St. Johns, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor, Union, Volusia, and Wakulla.
For clients and customers on medications, the State of Emergency also allows
pharmacists to dispense up to a 30-day emergency prescription refill of
maintenance medication to persons who reside in an area or county listed
above and to emergency personnel who have been activated by their state and
local agency but do not reside in an area covered by this order.
Please refer to the release below for more information and a link to the
Executive Order. If you have not done so and are in the line of the storm,
now is a good time to implement your personal or family disaster
preparedness plan. If you don't have one, please visit FLGetAPlan.com to
complete your own emergency plan. You can also learn about important
readiness topics here:

Please monitor the media and your local emergency management messages
including the location of local emergency shelters, evacuations affecting
your area, and school and road closures.
Thanks for all you do and stay safe!
