Hi Chip,

I have the sendero GPS and would be willing to give it a try. Also does the file format you have work with Google maps or any of the other numerous android GPS maps. Most of them require internet or phone carrier access. You can download the maps for Google maps to your device and use the GPS receiver for tracking.

Hi sila,

Sure; they sent me an Excel spreadsheet which I've drawn the data from, and
I can either send anyone the spreadsheet, or, I could look into the Excel
options for exporting it to a .txt file.

If you have something specific in mind which the format would need to meet,
that shouldn't be any problem. Otherwise, they had almost 75 columns, so
I'd pick less than 10 and export those to either a fixed column width text
file, or comma separated one, depending on what you needed.

Writing little programs to get the data exported to just the right format
isn't really a difficult task usually.

Let me know.

Chip

Hi Chip,
What an excellent resource! Ok, so here comes a dumb question...I don't
have
a GPS, not true as I have it on my phone but the user, well, she lacks a
bit
but any how, is it possible to have a txt version of the info that you've
gathered? Many thanks for taking time to organize and share with us!
Happy Labor Day!
Sila
