Dear Chip,

It is my understanding that only the side of Apalachie where Governor Square Mall is located will be getting them, right?

Darla

Sidewalks on Apalachee Parkway are one of the most requested amenities by
residents, according to transportation officials.

Now a stretch of the parkway is under construction for the installation of
sidewalks.
The $1.6 million project has been dissected into two phases. The first phase consists of the south end of Apalachee Parkway from Blair Stone Road to Paul
Russell Road. Construction has been going on for about two months and it's
slated to be complete next month, said Greg Burke, a transportation planner
for the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency.

The last phase consists of the areas between on Apalachee Parkway, near the Governors Square mall entrance, toward Capital Circle southeast. Burke said
the project is being fully paid for through federal money.
