Yes Joe you made yourself quite clear in your previous post. So that I will make myself perfectly clear, it wouldn't hurt to ask or cost anything to ask Star Metro to include some kind of statement about the white cane law in Star Metro's publications or public service announcements or what ever you decide to call it.
I am not talking about having the white can law put on the side of the bus as it rides around town. I am not talking about having the white cane law on the inside of the bus where the sighted passengers can read it but the drivers of cars can't.
At some point in time Star Metro will need to make drivers aware of the transfer points. whether that be in print or whatever just mention the white can law in some form.

Well I am talking about the county or the bus company. Example: if there was advertisement for subway sandwich shop the subway sandwich shop would have to pay for that advertisement on the bus, to the county or bus line. I hopethis makes it more clear. One more example : if the light House of the big Bend , AFB and NFB wanted them to promote the white cane law on a sign on the bus, they would have to pay the county or the bus line for thatadvertisement. Maybe these two example will explain what I am talking about.Sign, JP ( Joe Plummer) joeplummer@xxxxxxx -----Original Message-----From: tabi-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:tabi-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On BehalfOf Lynn Evans Sent: Friday, April 30, 2010 2:33 PM To: tabi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tabi] Re: Promotion of Florida's White Cane Law in our city Hello to All: Joe said in his last post, "but they more than likely get paid for the advertisement". They meaning Star Metro and by paid advertising you mean us? I got the impression with all the meetings I went to that Star Metro would need to inform its riders and the general public that Star metro would be taking it to the main streets so to speak. Star Metro would need to inform the car and truck driving public to be aware of areas of town where thetransfer points will be. So why not have city transit mention the white canelaw in their publications along with being courteous an aware of bus riderscrossing at transfer points?----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe Plummer" <joeplummer@xxxxxxx>To: <tabi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 30, 2010 9:05 AM Subject: [tabi] Re: Promotion of Florida's White Cane Law in our cityYes, but they more than likely get paid for the advertisement. That is suppose to go to the bus line transit I sure. Just my thoughts. They're always putting advertising of various types on the buses, both inside and out, they could at least work with that. if they have plans for a public awareness campaign for Nova 2010, suggesting some tie-in language to get them from that onto the subject of the white cane law would probably be helpful to them. ------------------------------ Chip Orange Database Administrator Florida Public Service Commission Chip.Orange@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (850) 413-6314 (Any opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Florida Public Service Commission.)-----Original Message----- From: tabi-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:tabi-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lighthouse of the Big Bend Sent: Thursday, April 29, 2010 1:38 PM To: tabi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tabi] Re: Promotion of Florida's White Cane Law in our city We love the idea Lynn!
