Pedestrian Killed After Being Run Over By StarMetro Bus By: Tallahassee Police Department, Eyewitness News Email Updated: Wed 3:46 PM, Oct 16, 2013 Tallahassee Police Department October 16, 2013 - 3:30pm Today at approximately 12:25pm, Patrol officers for the Tallahassee Police Department were called to a traffic crash involving a StarMetro bus and a pedestrian, after receiving multiple 911 calls about the accident. Leon County EMS and TFD also responded and treated the victim on scene before transporting him to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators with TPD's Traffic Homicide Unit were called to the scene to review the evidence. Preliminary investigation has revealed the StarMetro Bus was southbound on Pat Thomas Boulevard when a pedestrian began running along the right side of the bus, presumably trying to get the drivers attention. The on-going investigation has shown the pedestrian was run over by the rear wheels as the vehicle drove along its route. The name of the deceased is being withheld at this time, pending notification to the family.
