Isn't it amazing how much money the government can waste on crap but can't provide funding or man power for pedestrian safety, public transportation or our constitutional right to a private independent vote.

Chip,I read textbooks for blind students and had to be fingerprinted, filled out about 20 forms, and had a full background check for doing my work at my house. Of course I have regular meetings with the students, but I've been doing this for 25 years and the new requirement threw me for a loop.Barbara----- Original Message ----- From: "Allison and Chip Orange" <acorange@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <tabi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, September 27, 2010 8:06 PM Subject: [tabi] Re: Good Copalright, pretty funny! do you know Allie and I had to be finger-printed the other day??? It's because we're IT workers for the state, and so now we have to have a full background check every 3 years (some new rule). But, in light of our recent discussions, I simplycould not resist. Sila The light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light byaccelerating through the intersection. The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup. As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked upinto the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her toexit her car with her hands up. He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell. After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened thedoor. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officerwas waiting with her personal effects. He said, ''I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of youand cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'Follow Me toSunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblemon the trunk, so naturally....I assumed you had stolen the car.''
