                        To Do This Weekend....
                              Dear Charles,

This is a weekend with many choices of fun and
informative ways to support the disabilities community in Tallahassee.
First....LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts
holds its annual juried "Chain of Parks" art show and sale Saturday and Sunday,
April 16-17, at the downtown Tallahassee Chain of Parks. Pyramid Studios and
Pyramid Tallahassee artists will exhibit their best original art, fine art
prints, jewelry and more. The show is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days.
On Friday April 15, Pyramid Tallahassee Rock Band
and Pyramid Studios Singers perform at SportsAbility's Resource Expo at
Tallahassee Community College. The Rock Band plays from 10:45-11:15 a.m. and
the Singers perform at 12:30 p.m. SportsAbility, the premier event of the
Florida Disabled Outdoors Association (FDOA), is about enhancing the lives of
people with disabilities by promoting active living. SportsAbility provides
access to resources and demonstrations of activities designed to encourage
participation, regardless of age or ability level. SportsAbility is happening
at various locations in Tallahassee April 14-17. Complete information about
all the events is posted at http://fdoa.org/sa_tall.html

The Tallahassee Autism Support Coalition, Inc.,
in cooperation with the Florida Self-Advocacy Alliance, announces the MILLION
DISABLED MARCH in Tallahassee on Saturday, April 16, to protest cuts in
funding that pays for services. FLAwsome! calls on the community to join it
and its partners across the state in demanding that services be restored.
Supporters will begin assembling at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church,
located at the corner of North Adams Street and East Park Avenue. At 11 a.m.
supporters will walk to the Capitol to express the importance of this funding
in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

What a great weekend we have in store for us in
Tallahassee! We hope to see you at these fine events.
