Subject: Free Online Programs Today and Early Next Week

Hi, Everyone.

Today there are two great free online events in the offing:

A. noon Eastern, 11 Central, 10 Mountain, and 9 Pacific: A discussion with
David Rothman about the various facets of several recent calls for a national
digital library for the U.S.

B. 3 Eastern, 2 Central, 1 Mountain, and noon Pacific: The librarians from
the Library of Congress will be presenting samples throughout history of
community cookbooks and recipes. I'm salivating already!

Also, early next week, just prior to Black Friday, Paul Santos from the Alliance
Library System will be presenting two one-hour evening talks as part of the
"Financial ABC's for Generations X, Y, & Z" project. Paul will cover the
basics of saving, managing, and investing money.

Everyone is welcome to attend these free online events. There is no need to
register.

The complete schedule of events, with links into the online rooms where they
will be held, is at
