StarMetro Making More Changes Effective August 29

With an increase in traffic expected within the next week due to the
start of the universities' fall semester, StarMetro will implement the
following changes on Monday, August 29, in order to maintain route and transfer
schedules.

"We expect traffic to really pick up next week as over 60,000 students
descend on the Tallahassee roadways," said Ron Garrison, executive director for
StarMetro. "In order for our buses to arrive on time in this heavy traffic, we
needed to make a few improvements."

Route and schedule improvements are listed below by route.

a.. Dogwood Route - Buses will run 40 minutes all day.
b.. Red Hills route - Buses will run 40 minutes all day.
c.. Saturday Azalea route - Buses will run 40 minutes all day, and the
route will be rerouted to turn left from Capital Circle NW onto Commonwealth
Blvd., loop through the cul de sac next to the Lowe's shopping center and turn
right back onto Capital Circle NW.
d.. Saturday Evergreen - Route will be rerouted to go into Governor's
Square Mall.
