Every 20 Minutes

StarMetro Extends Moss Route to Run Every 20 Minutes

Beginning this Monday, July 18, StarMetro will increase the frequency of
service along the Moss route during off-peak hours on weekdays. Currently, the
Moss route operates on a 20 minute headway during the morning and afternoon
peak periods and a headway of 40 minutes during the mid-day. With this new
change, the Moss route will run 20 minutes all day from Monday through Friday.

"Since launching the new route structure on Monday, we've seen standing
room only on the Moss route," said Ron Garrison, executive director of
StarMetro. "By continuing 20 minute service all day, we hope to better serve
our customers using this route."

The Moss route serves Frenchtown, Bond Community and South City.

"We saw the need. We heard our customers, and now we're making the
change," added Garrison.

'Headway' refers to the length of time between buses. For example, if a
route operates on a 20 minute headway, then the bus serving that route will
pass by every 20 minutes.

'Peak period' refers to morning and afternoon travel times.

StarMetro will continue to monitor customer input via the departmental
email addresses at starmetro@xxxxxxxxxx and starmetro.marketing@xxxxxxxxxxx
Customers should send questions, suggestions and concerns to these email
addresses.
