Leaving the seen of an accident is the law here. Walking down the middle of the street that in their right mind would do this.

Who is more wrong here? I say the hit & run driver. So this makes the woman right.

Hit and run to start and just because some one is in the street that doesn't give you the right to run over them. I would hope that a driver is looking in front of them but apparently not.

No this is not the case at all. She was walking down the middle of the street. Kind of like jay walking. sorry to say she is just as much in the wrong as the hit and run driver of the SUV. 

As the family's lawyer Joe what would you base your lawsuit on?

The street had no sidewalks and their were cars parked on both sides of the 
street. The woman had to walk in the middle of the street.
