Chip you really should try out one of these I devices. I myself would say if
you don't want to take the phone plunge try out the iPod touch or the iPad.
The IPad you can use the 3g and pretty soon the 4 g network from Att or
Verizon without a contract. I don't know about what it cost from Verizon but
Att plan is 15 bucks a month or 15 bucks per month use you might say for 250
mb of data and the higher plan is 25 bucks for 2 gb of data. I find that the
15 buck does me fine especially since I use Wi-Fi a lot and it does not
count against my att data plan. Now for example you can buy the 15 buck plan
for the iPad for one month and then skip say 3 or more months and then you
decided that you are going to need it say because you are going on vacation
and then you can buy it again for a month for 15 bucks. The apps are really
great for them and most of them that you find that you want are either
totally accessible or partly accessible and if not a lot of the developers
will be willing to make them VO accessible. That is on the I Devices. Now if
I had to put this in some kind of percentage I would say about 25 percent is
totally accessible or partly accessible and the developers are willing to
make them VO accessible. Now that is a whole lot of apps for us if you
consider the million or more apps that is out there for the iPhone, iPod
touch and iPad. Just some thoughts.
