A new addition this year is a visit from Gentle Carousel's therapeutic miniture horses. These tiny adorable miniture horses delight the young and old and often form an immediate bond with people with disabilities. Saturday, October 6th features many of the lake water activities such as the ever popular pontoon boat rides and sit water skiing. In addition, kayaking, nature trail rides, bocce, archery, and much more will be available for people of all abilities to enjoy with their family and friends. People with all types of disabilities are welcome to SportsAbility. Every year, people attend from all over the state to learn and try new things, gain confidence, meet people, and have a wonderful time. More media coverage than ever before is scheduled for the Paralympics being held August 29th - September 9th. In addition to online coverage, NBC Sports (NBCSN) will air one-hour highlight shows on Sept. 4, 5, 6 and 11 at 7 p.m. EDT. Following the Paralympic Games, on Sept. 16, NBC will broadcast a 90 minute special from 2-3:30 p.m. EDT. Over four thousand athletes will compete from 160 different countries in London, England. Sports such as alpine skiing, archery, goalball, para-cycling, power lifting, rowing, sailing, shooting, swimming, para-table tennis, and boccia will be held.
