her position with FCB. To that end, I'm circulating the below job announcement.

FCB Executive Assistant Position Announcement
The Florida Council of the Blind (FCB) is a non-profit membership organization
with more than twenty chapters operating in the state of Florida. Most of our
members are blind or have low vision and we work on a range of projects and
initiatives aimed at increasing the independence and acceptance in society of
people who are blind or have low vision.
We hold an annual convention and a separate in-person Board meeting each year.

The organization is seeking to fill the position of Executive Assistant. This
is a part time position currently funded at twenty hours per week. It does not
offer benefits except for some paid vacation. The rate of remuneration will be
based on the education and experience of the candidate selected for the
position and, as a nonprofit, FCB'S ability to pay.
Familiarity with the Florida Council of the Blind and the American Council of
the Blind is preferred. A demonstrated proficiency with word processing and
spread sheets is essential. Familiarity with access technology will be
considered an asset. An Associate Arts degree is required though further
education will be considered valuable. The successful candidate should reside
in Florida and have at least one year of experience working in an office
environment. A high level of communication skills is essential. The position
will be handled from the applicant's home with equipment provided by FCB.
The successful candidate will be expected to answer our 800 line during set
business hours and coordinate the ongoing operation of FCB'S Project Insight.
In addition, messages received after hours must be answered during the next
working day. The employee will help with correspondence, answer emails,
maintain a number of electronic lists, work with FCB'S web master, assist with
the completion and editing of the White Cane Bulletin and assist the President
and other officers as needed. The employee may not hold an FCB board or officer
position during his or her tenure as FCB'S Executive Assistant.
