I went to this last year and had a great time. Thought some of you might like
to check in to it!!
5th Extreme Experience Retreat September 28-October 1, 2014 Blue Lake Camp
Andalusia, Alabama- A retreat designed exclusively for the blind and visually
impaired adult. Total cost is $200 which includes lodging, all meals for 4 days
and 3 nights. Recreational activities include swimming, canoeing, water slide,
aquacise, fun fishing, archery, golf, nature hikes, crafts, hayride, campfire,
games, dominoes, Beep Baseball sponsored by Andalusia Lions Club-learning
activities on agenda.
In addition to the retreat, you can come early and participate in the first
VIP Alabama Lion's Fishing Tournament will be held Sunday Morning. You will
need to arrive by 8:15am and tournament time is 9am-3pm. Grand prize is based
on total fish weight and winner will get a paid trip to the national fishing
tournament in Outer Banks, North Carolina. Cost to participate in the
tournament is $25 above $200 retreat cost $1 AL fishing license required
(purchase prior to tournament)

Sunday 2 pm registration at the gym: motorcycle rides, pool party
5 pm opening ceremony and chapel
6 pm inaugural ball dressy attire fine dining and dancing
Monday 5:30 am fun fishing
7:30am reflections by Lake 8 am country breakfast
9 am- noon break out sessions hosted by AL Institute for Deaf and Blind and AL
Department of Vision Rehabilitation professionals
Noon- lunch 1-2pm
breakout sessions
2-5pm Recreational activities or free time
5pm- Thanksgiving feast
6 pm- Rev. Jackie Slaughter of Montgomery with percussion instruments
Tuesday 5:30 am
fun fishing
7:30 am reflections by Lake 8:00 am country breakfast
9 am- noon break out sessions featuring tech tips, ham radio, accessible
voting machines, I phones, jaws noon -lunch
1-5pm recreational activities or free time 5pm dinner
6 pm - country/western music and dancing, hayride and campfire
Wednesday 5:30 am fun
fishing
7:30 am reflections by Lake 8:00 am country breakfast
9-11 am close out group sessions, pack noon-Lunch and goodbyes
