And one more bit of info on Casper for you Governor: it will make
backups, onto a USB external drive, so that the drive is bootable.  this
way, if your drive completely fails, you can boot from your backup drive
to use your computer, and to restore the drive contents.  here's how the
Casper owner phrases it, when trying to convince others to upgrade to
the latest version:

"for those useing older versions of casper cloneing software. version 6
does
something i never thought possable.
if your computer bios supports booting from a usb device casper6 makes
backups to a usb drive bootable from the u s b port. until now i was
never
able to boot vista from a external drive to restore the c drive. now it
boots with speech running so you still have speech.
until casper 6 the external drive would keep restarting and would not
get
past the windows progress bar."
