Hey Ladies,
Sorry to miss again Tuesday. I've meant to send in this prayer request for a
few weeks now, but things have been crazy.
My mom has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. She turns 80 this summer
and has been a smoker for 62 years, so this news isn't too much of a surprise
to any of us. She and my dad are in great spirits for which I am so grateful.
She started chemo last Friday and handled it really well. Her second chemo is
tomorrow and her 6 weeks of radiation begins on Monday. Could I ask for
prayers of strength for her tolerate these treatments mentally and physically.
She's a big wimp when it comes to pain and being sick, so the mental fight is
important.
My sister's husband is finally admitting he thinks he has Huntington's Disease.
It's been a rough few years with him in denial and trying to Kerri it from the
Air Force. Huge praise that he has "come clean" with his Air Force doctors and
himself. It's going to be a tough road ahead for him, my sister and their two
kids (7 & 8 yo).
I appreciate the prayers. It's a lot to process, but with God's grace we have
been level headed dealing with all the news. We know it's His plan and we just
praying for continued acceptance of that plan each step along the way.
Peace,
Ashley
