*Welcome/Devotional*
· Welcome to Carolyn Wade
*Treasurer Report*
· Current Balance: $4,554.34
· Please send your 2017 Sunshine dues in the amount of $20 to Lisa
Andrewsif you have not already done so (make checks out to SWC)
· Donations:
$1,000 to Meals on Wheels
$1,000 to Hope's Place
$250 to Children's Ministries
*UMW Events*
· Market Place was a success! Thank you to everyone who contributed
their time, baked goods, soups, etc! Thank you especially to the SWC ladies
that served on this year’s committee: Audrey Parker, Ashley Clark, Amber
Heimbeck, Michelle Salehi, Melody Herrmann, and Angela Tylicki.
· Over $13,000 was raised and will be distributed among local
charities.
o We were able to give $2300 to each of our recipients: TN Valley Family
Services, Meals to Grow, Carolyn’s Cupboard, Trinity’s Children’s, Youth &
Hispanic Ministry. $440 to Hope Place.
· April 4, 2017 – UMW General Meeting, luncheon, 11 a.m. – Wesley
Hall. Program: “Prayer& Self Denial” led by Olene McGowen
· April 8, 2017 – NE District Spiritual Enrichment “Refresh&
Retreat” @ Camp Sumatanga, special guest Laura Hall from AL House of
Representatives. Registration at 8 a.m. 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Missions
Project: Well House & TN Valley Family Services (Melody has more info under
missions)
· April 11, 2017 – Next SWC Meeting to be led by Fawn Smith. She
will send out a reminder e-mail closer to the date about where the meeting
will be held.
· May 14th, 2017 – UMW Sunday
*Sunshine Report*
· Congratulations to Virginia on the birth of her daughter,
Catherine Jane Conerly! A meal schedule was created and a card from SWC has
been sent.
· Fawn suggested holding a wreath making party for Suzette in
celebration of her new house! She will send out more details.
*Missions Report*
· UMW NE District is collecting items for Well House and Tennessee
Valley Family Services:
*For Well House:*
-Women’s underwear, bras and socks (new items only) for ages 18 – 25+,
sizes small - XXL
*For Tennessee Valley Family Services:*
-Women’s underwear, bras and socks (new items only) for ages 14 – 21, sizes
small – XXL
-Men’s briefs, undershirts and socks (new items only) for ages 14-21, sizes
small – XXL
Please bring items to UMW general meeting on Tuesday, April 4th or drop
them off at the church Main Office (labeled)

*Prayer Requests*
· Michelle Salehi will have surgery to remove bone spurs on her
heel. Please pray that her surgery and recovery goes well.
· Rachel’s friend, Angela, who has brain cancer is not doing well
at all. This is her 3rd round of the cancer coming back and it has
metastasized to other parts of her body and doesn’t look good. She is a
single mother with a little boy in 4th grade.
