Press alt, right arrow to options, press enter, then up arrow a couple times to "select wave devices" and press enter. This brings up a dialog where you can choose the device for input, such as a microphone, and the device for output, such as headphones or speakers. There are shortcut keys to do all of this quickly, but I prefer the menu.
