Wow, that is very bad. Sounds like you are using a low output dynamic
microphone with a noisy preamp. This is not a problem with Studio Recorder. I
would try to find a different microphone, perhaps a condenser mic which is self
powered with its own battery. Are you sure you are using a microphone input? As
I look at your file, it appears that you normalized, which makes me think the
original signal was very low, and perhaps was recorded in a line-in connector
instead of mic-in.

I use the M-audio sound card, and a microphone (6mm jack), but I don't know the
manufacture. This is the studio at my office, and I didn't setup it. Just use.

I asked about the noise when record usign studio recorder several years ago. A
member told me that I should give a recorded file to find the problem. I turned
on my speaker to to make the test file because I'll do podcast about technology
