You probably should just fade in or fade out; you may not need a cross fade. Highlight the part you want to work with, then press either i for fade-in or o for fade-out. That should work. As I said, there are different types of fading; one type fades in or out like the volume on a radio; another is faster, another is slower. Information about this is in the Studio Recorder manual, which is probably in the Studio Recorder folder on your hard drive.
