Hi Jerry, I'm not sure, but possibly Audacity is free, and also both programs have a different learning curve and other features etc. I know there are scripts and such for GoldWave, but I am not sure about Audacity but there very well may be scripts for it or it may work to an extent out of the box. I personally found that I was able to quickly, and I'm talking about like having to learn something in an hour, pick up Sound Fordge and Studio Recorder faster than I was able to learn Goldwave. At the time Goldwave did not use certain standard windows commands that you might find in most generic windows applications. Another thing that audio files often say is that Studio Recorder does not support effects like echo and other such things which a program like Audacity, Sound Fordge, or Goldwave may have. -Mika Regards, Mika Pyyhkala Technical Services Neighborhood Health Plan Tel: (617) 478-7190 Mobile: (617) 308-1114 IT Help Desk: (617) 772-5555 "Jerry Berrier" <jerry.berrier@xxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: studiorecorder-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 08/07/2008 06:35 AM Please respond to studiorecorder@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To <studiorecorder@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Subject [studiorecorder] Re: Hiss Removal So, why suggest trying Audacity if Goldwave is better?
