wow, well glad to help for sure! SR is a fine program, and, actually so
is BWC, just as you say it needs explanations. :)
take care!

Actually NO! Book Wizard requires YOU as a coach so it can be figured out.
I'll keep the notes you sent me forever.
Thank you!
Because of Curtis I was able to finish the RSV bible by Scourby. Anyone
wishing more information can contact www.lbea.org since they distribute this
bible.
As for editing, I used the scrub feature to correct a couple of mistakes by
Mr. Scourby in the recording. I don't think there is anyone on earth who
could tell me where I made the edits unless you had the original recordings
to compare.
Scrubbing is one of many features in SR that I love.

I also agree with your first point. If a person needs to have one

Just some thoughts to ponder.

First of all, you indicated that you don't have the time to work
with other programs. I would submit that if you have an
important task to perform that can't currently be done with SR
then you need to make the time to learn to use other programs
with which the task can be completed. Otherwise you really are
wasting time by not getting the task completed. Unfortunately there

not an inexpensive program and, like other products, should be
planned to grow incrementally over the years by slowly adding new
features as other products do and not become stagnant. Yes, it
would be a big job to overhaul overnight, but SR has been around
for a long time now and hasn't added any new features that would
keep up with modern audio production directions and requirements.
Even for podcast a multi-track capability is very useful. I
think people not only expect change and improvement these days,
but folks will undoubtedly take advantage of new capabilities to
find opportunities to use SR in interesting ways for novel
projects they might not have even thought of
So yes, I too would like to see SR start to move forward but
having a number of tools at your disposal that are accessible is

Hi Pete, and all,
Here's the thing, the reason I brought this whole thing up is, I
don't have time in my day, like all of you do, obviously, to have
to work with multiple programs.
the world we live in, is fast, and it's going to get faster, and
those who do a task faster, will survive, and those who don't
will not, in the world of work.
I don't have hours, to use multiple programs.
SR has great key commands because of windows key commands.
It would be nice to have 1 program, to do all of what we all want
to do, and studio recorder, has the best keyboard commands to do
resource today.I here people out here, all the time, saying, "I'd like SR to ...,"time.
and they're right, it needs to, and I will back those people up,

Just because it's not designed to do something, doesn't mean,
that it should never be, because it should. If people settle for
average, that's what we get, if we settle for wasting time, using
multiple programs, then we will waste, time, that is a scarce

Neal,
I agree. Studio Recorder was written to allow talking book
producers to record digital books. To do that, you don't need
noise reduction, multi-tracking, etc. Although I wish it had
some equalizer capability, I'm not disappointed if it never shows
