a Nickname and certain Biller Specific Details, as described below: Nickname - is the reference name for a biller that you have added
(eg Hutch, Home) Biller Specific Details ? These are used identify your account
with the biller and are mentioned on every paper bill sent to you by the
biller. For instance, to add MTNL as a biller the Biller Specific Details that
you need to provide are the 'Customer Account Number' and the 'Telephone
Number'. Please provide such information accurately so as to facilitate us and
the biller to relate to your service correctly. We suggest that you keep a
recent bill with you handy when you input the Biller Specific Details. You can
also register your billers by downloading the e-PAY form from the site or
picking up an e-PAY form at your branch. Fill in the biller details, sign the
form and submit the same at your branch. When will I receive my bill on
www.onlinesbi.com after I register? When can I pay? After you register, it typically takes
between 7 days - 20 days to register your request with the biller. For
"View and Pay Bill" billers, you would receive an electronic bill on
www.onlinesbi.com within 31 days of registration (where the billers generate a
monthly bill). The bills will be presented to you from the next billing cycle
and you can make payments through e-PAY only against such electronic
bills. For "Pay Bill" and
"Payment Only" billers, you can make a payment immediately after you
have added the biller online to your biller list. Can I pay someone else's bill? Yes, you can pay someone else's bill. To
do so you will have to add the Biller Specific Details of the person whose bill
is to be paid. How does a biller know that I am using
the Bank's service? You need to provide your Biller Specific
Details while adding a biller. We will verify and confirm the association with
the biller so that bills can be presented to you and you can make payments. What acknowledgement/receipt do I get
for a payment made through e-PAY? For each payment made through e-PAY, you
get an instant electronic acknowledgement/receipt that has a Transaction
Reference Number. You have the option of printing this receipt for your
records. What is "AutoPay"? The 'AutoPay' option is a standing
instruction that you can set up for a "View and Pay Bill" biller that
you have registered for. You can also fix an upper limit for payments. Bills
within this specified limit will get automatically processed for payment
whenever they are due. Each bill for amount greater than the specified can only
be paid against your specific authority.
You can cancel or modify the AutoPay option for the biller through the
"Edit AutoPay" option under the Bill Payment section. How do I view the payments I have made
in past? Payments that you have made in the past
that are already processed can be viewed using the "View Payments"
option under the Bill Payment section. You can also take a printout of the paid
bills. A payment that you have scheduled for a future date will be available
under the "Scheduled Payments" option under the Bill Payment section.
What are the other features available on
e-PAY? Through e-PAY, you can receive
electronic bills, make payments and set up and manage various billers. Click
here to view a detailed description of each of the options available under the
Bill Payment section at www.onlinesbi.com Are there any charges for using this
service? No, there are no charges for using the
e-PAY service. It is free! Will I still receive my paper bill? Yes, you will continue to receive your
paper bill as usual from your biller. What happens if I have a dispute with a
Biller on the bills paid over e-PAY? The Bank shall assist you in every
possible manner to provide you with information on the bills presented and
payments that you have made. However, please note that the Bank is not
responsible for settling disputes between the biller and you relating to the
bill payments. For any specific charge that you might wish to dispute or
discuss in a specific bill, you would need to contact the biller directly. What are the consequences of not paying
a bill that is presented to me? We will not be able to make a payment to
the biller unless you specifically authorise a payment. You could provide this
authorisation online either on a case-to-case basis or through the AutoPay
feature in respect of bills within the upper limit fixed by you. Accordingly,
should you not pay a bill that is presented to you the specific terms and
conditions laid down by biller for late or non-payment of bill could become
applicable. Can I cancel my registration request? Yes, you can cancel your registration
request for a biller by using "Delete Biller" option available under
the Bill Payment section. After you have cancelled your registration for a
biller, you will not be able to receive electronic bills or make payments to
