Hello,
I am cox for rowing on Sunday 26 March. Currently we are short of 2 rowers for
the session. Please add your name to the doodle poll if you would like to row.
Important note for you!!!
Please use the old doodle poll. I have found that I cannot enter my name on the
new version of the doodle poll when using it on my iPhone. Nor can I see the
list of people. This makes the job of coxing impossible. John has just helped
me with this problem. The solution is to use old version only.
Cheers,
Janet

Hello All,
NOTE DATE: 25 - 27 March
In response to feedback we have re defined the rowing sessions to better
accommodate the various styles of rowing, members have requested. In turn,
this should allow for a smooth transition between social , intermediate and
onto racing, should you wish too . There will be two easy , one intermediate
and two racing sessions , all are dependent upon the availability of coxes .
Doodle has updated is operating format and I have not found it as user
friendly. If you would like to continue using the original method please
click "use old doodle" at the right hand side of the poll , close then reopen
it and you should be back on the familiar one .
Regards
John
EASY ROWING, a social row with the pace dictated by the crew and will have a
prearranged Cox and shore person. Suitable for those who are new to rowing or
do not wish a physically demanding session. The Cox will instruct regarding
timing and technique to ensure a smooth row for all participants.
INTERMEDIATE ROWING , a medium intensity row building on timing, technique
and stamina under the instruction of the cox. Designed as a transition
between easy rowing and race training with Cox and shore cover provided .
Suitable for members who rowed last season and wish to progress.
RACE ROWING / DAWN TRAINING , a hard physical work out that should make you
sweat encompassing a mixture of sprints , distance rowing and racing drills
for technically competent rowers . Comprising of mixed crews or constituted
teams as the regatta season progresses . Cox and shore cover to be determined
by participants on the day . All skiffs must contain one rower who has
completed our Cox training program.
The skiff must contain one club member who has done the cox training from
names listed below .
Times vary to accommodate a harbour launch where possible.
