        The Calorie Control Council

Today's site provides a number of useful weight-related calculators, along
with brief articles on specific calorie issues. Gentle Subscribers will
find a helpful selection of aids to help them reach or keep a healthy
weight.

"If you're looking for information on cutting calories and fat in your
diet, achieving and maintaining a healthy weight, or your favorite
low-calorie, reduced-fat foods and beverages (and the ingredients that make
them possible)... you've come to the right place!" - from the website

Among the site's tools are various types of calculators, including the
Healthy Weight Calculators, individualized by gender, and the Body Mass
Index. The importance of ancillary measurements, such as Waist
Circumference, is also discussed. The straightforward and extensive calorie
calculator spits out the numbers for everything from chips to chowders,
while the enhanced calculator features an even larger database and can tot
up a total daily calorie consumption. A useful and eye-opening tool is the
Get Moving Calculator which reveals, based on height and weight, the often
quite modest number of calories burned by various activities, such as stair
climbing, walking briskly or shoveling snow. A highlight of the additional
articles is the timely "How to Survive Superbowl Snacking".
