Six Photographers on Their Dream Journeys
Today's site offers remarkable photo essays from the New York Times Magazine
from a number of noted photographers. Gentle Subscribers will discover dramatic
images of distant shores revealing insights about these countries and the
people who inhabit them.

With its rich profusion of images, this presentation, from the work of six top
photographers consists of a single continuous webpage of each location's photos
in order, but with helpful navigation aids throughout; access to each section
is also linked from the introduction. Basic maps of each locale are provided to
place the photos in a geographical context, from a train journey in the African
country of Nigeria, to the spectacular interior of Venezuela, South America.
The photos are accompanied by sometimes brief but always informative captions,
while more extensive introductions to each section have been included by the
photographers.
