Hi there Liz. Can you tell me where you got your scales? Sounds great to have scales that run on the mains, no more damn battery problems.

When I thought I should have a backup, I priced them again and thought 'they'll be cheaper now' - actually no. The price had shot up. So I'm with my trusty expensive scale and just make sure I get it serviced and recalibrated regularly. I'd go with Louise's recommendation sounds good for $160. I can't remember what I started with, but got sick of the batteries dying on me in the middle of weighing something. This scale works on mains.
